Want a corporate magician your Nashville guests will remember?

Your guests can walk three blocks and find world-class live entertainment any night of the week. That is the standard your evening is quietly measured against. Booking an act that does not clear it is worse than booking none at all.

Josh Weidner is a Nashville magician who builds the show around the people in the room instead of performing at them. Mingling magic while guests find each other, then clean comedy magic on stage, so the evening holds up in a town that knows what a good show looks like.

Josh has spent years in rooms like this working out what lands and what to avoid. It is clean before anyone has to ask, and nothing about the night is improvised at your cost.

Which events does Josh play in Nashville?

Company holiday parties, client dinners, sales kickoffs, awards banquets, and fundraising galas and fundraisers. The healthcare companies headquartered here run a heavy calendar of their own, and most of it lands in hotel ballrooms downtown.

Why interactive magic holds a Nashville room

In a town this good at live music, a band is not a differentiator. Interactive magic is, because it makes your guests the ones the room is watching. From ten people to a thousand, the show is built to fit the room it is in.

Open with strolling close-up magic, headline with a comedy magic show, or hand Josh event hosting and let him carry the night. Any two of them work together as well. All clean, aimed at a professional audience, and written around your company rather than lifted wholesale.

Mingling Magic

Sometimes called strolling magic, Josh works the room in small groups, performing close-up magic right in your guests' hands. It breaks the ice fast, so people who walked in not knowing each other are talking before your program even starts.

Where Josh performs around Nashville

Downtown and the Gulch handle the client entertaining and the convention-adjacent receptions, where the room is often half locals and half people in town for the week. South of the city the work turns corporate through Franklin and Brentwood.

Common questions about booking a Nashville magician

Do you perform in Nashville?+
Yes. Josh performs corporate events, galas, holiday parties, and fundraisers throughout Nashville and middle Tennessee. That covers Franklin, Brentwood and Spring Hill, Murfreesboro, Smyrna and La Vergne, plus Hendersonville, Mount Juliet, Gallatin, Nolensville, Goodlettsville and Lebanon.
Our guests could go see live music instead. Why book a magician?+
Because they cannot be in a band. Interactive magic makes your guests the entertainment, which is the one thing a night out on Broadway will not give them.
Can you perform if we already have a house band or DJ booked?+
Yes, and it happens often. Josh works a slot rather than the whole night, so the music carries the rest of the evening and the magic is the part people talk about.
How much does it cost to hire a magician in Nashville?+
Most corporate and gala bookings run $2,500 to $5,000. Where a date lands depends on the format, the guest count, and how long Josh is on. Most settle in the $2,500 to $4,000 range. The fee covers the performance, the planning calls, liability insurance, and material written around your organization.
How far in advance should we book?+
It depends more on the time of year than the type of event. 2 to 4 months out is normal. Peak dates, like weekends and the holiday season, can book up 6 to 12 months ahead. If your date is sooner than that it is still worth asking, because openings come up.
What format works best for our event?+
Three options: strolling close-up while guests arrive and mingle, a stage show once everyone is seated, or both. Strolling carries the early part of the night and breaks the ice when people do not know each other yet. The stage show is the moment the whole room shares. Most clients book the combination.
Can the show be customized for our company?+
Yes, and it is most of what makes the set land. Josh folds in the company name, the people the room knows, the product, and the references only your team will catch. That comes out of the planning call, so the more context you share, the more of it ends up on stage.
What size group does the show work for?+
Anywhere from a boardroom of 10 to a ballroom of 1000. Smaller rooms get a more conversational version of the show. Large rooms need staging and screens so the back of the room sees it properly.
Can Josh also host or emcee our event?+
Yes, and a lot of clients book it that way. Josh can run the whole program as host: opening the night, introducing speakers and award winners, covering the transitions, and keeping the schedule honest. The event hosting page covers how that works.
What if some of our guests do not want to participate?+
You're not really hiring a magician. You're hiring someone whose job is getting your guests interacting and enjoying themselves. Nobody is embarrassed, and nobody is pulled up in front of the room who isn't comfortable being there. The guests who would rather watch have just as good a night.
Is the material clean enough for our crowd?+
Yes. The whole act is built clean for a mixed professional room of executives, clients, and staff. The comedy comes from the magic and the guests who volunteer, never from putting someone on the spot.
What do you need for setup and sound?+
Strolling needs nothing but room to move. The stage show wants a performance area, a wireless headset mic, a handheld mic for volunteers, and a sound system the whole room can hear, plus about an hour to set before doors. Josh sends a full tech rider once the date is booked.
Do you carry insurance and provide a Certificate of Insurance?+
Yes. Many venues require a Certificate of Insurance before a performer is allowed on site. Josh carries liability coverage and provides a COI on request, usually the same day.
Do you perform outside Nashville?+
Yes. Josh performs nationwide, so if your company runs events in more than one market the same show works in every one of them. The quote is all-in before anything is signed.
